Team Night Done Right: An Evening with AC Boise

Sometimes the best team meetings happen far away from the office... preferably with soccer, drinks and a little local food involved. ⚽️

On Friday, September 11, the Get Social With Cait team traded our laptops and content calendars for a night out at an AC Boise soccer game, and this one came with a few extra perks.

Starting Behind the Scenes

Before the gates filled up for the evening, our team got the chance to go behind the scenes with a private media tour of the AC Boise facility.

Getting to see everything from a different perspective before the match was such a fun way to start the night. We spend a lot of our workdays behind the scenes with businesses ourselves, so getting a peek at what goes into creating the AC Boise game-day experience was right up our alley.

And obviously, we couldn’t leave the tour without making a stop at the merch store.

A few new AC Boise pieces may have found their way home with us. Consider us officially outfitted for our next match. 😉

Next Stop: The Beer Garden

Once we finished shopping, we headed over to the beer garden, found our seats and grabbed drinks before kickoff.

The atmosphere was already building as everyone started filling the stadium, and it was the perfect spot for our team to hang out, catch up and take in the game together.

One of our favorite things about team outings is simply getting everyone out of the office and doing something different together. We spend plenty of time collaborating on client work, shoots and social media strategy, so nights like this give us a chance to just have fun as a team.

A Meaningful Moment

With the game taking place on September 11, the evening also included a special tribute honoring 9/11.

We were grateful to be there and participate in a moment that brought everyone in the stadium together to remember the lives lost and recognize the significance of the day.

It made an already memorable team outing even more meaningful.

Soccer + Local Food = A Pretty Good Friday Night

Of course, we couldn’t go to a game without checking out the food.

We grabbed some Idaho Pizza Company during the match and finished things off with Nanners, a local dessert food truck. 🍕🍌

We love seeing familiar Treasure Valley businesses represented at local events, so getting to enjoy a couple of local favorites while cheering on another Boise organization made the night even better.

And AC Boise Brought Home the Win!

AC Boise faced off against the New York Cosmos, and we picked a pretty great night to be in the stands.

After an exciting match, AC Boise finished with a 2–1 win. ⚽️👏

Between the private tour, merch shopping, beer garden, local food, meaningful 9/11 tribute and a Boise win, this outing checked just about every box.

We’re always looking for fun ways to get our team together outside of the office, and supporting something local made this one even better.

Safe to say we’ll be back in the stands again. 💚
