Influence is NOT Popularity...

Popularity is defined as having a broad reach, while influence is the depth of reach you have over that audience.

The problem with aiming for popularity is that you’re only measuring your success by width - follower counts and content impressions - but that doesn’t mean everyone is actually listening. Follower counts only matter if your audience cares about and consumes your content. If 2k of your 6k Instagram followers download your eBook, even though 6k followers may seem small…that’s a valuable conversion! BUT if you have 50k fans and you’re not seeing engagement on your posts, it’s because nobody cares. A large audience that doesn’t care is LESS valuable than a smaller audience that is growing with the RIGHT people for your business. #getsocialwithcait
