Using Instagram Edits: Level Up Your Reels

In this hands-on class, Cait will walk you through how to use the Instagram Edits app to create smoother, more polished Reels. You’ll learn how to organize your footage, improve your pacing, add engaging text and audio, and use the app’s editing tools with confidence.

This class goes beyond the basics and is designed for anyone who already understands how to create a Reel but wants more control over how their videos look, sound, and flow.

What we’ll cover:

• Starting and organizing a project in Instagram Edits

• Trimming, splitting, arranging, and replacing clips

• Improving the pacing and flow of your Reel

• Adding and timing text on screen

• Creating and editing automatic captions

• Working with music, original audio, and voiceovers

• Adding overlays, transitions, effects, and adjustments

• Writing stronger hooks for the beginning of your Reel

• Exporting and preparing your finished video for Instagram

This class is perfect for business owners, content creators, and social media professionals who already know the basics of creating Reels and are ready to improve their editing skills.

Requirements:

Bring a fully charged phone with the Instagram Edits app downloaded. Please also bring five to ten short vertical video clips in your camera roll so you can edit alongside Cait during class. Headphones are recommended.

Light snacks and drinks will be provided.
